Go Blue is a community event held at La Palmera Mall, where over 15 organizations come together to spread awareness on child abuse prevention. Go Blue is the first Monday in April to kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month.
We continue Child Abuse Prevention Month with the CAPA Race, which is the first Saturday of April. Come and support us while participating in a 1, 5 or 10k.
We work directly with DFPS to host events to give certified adoption families and children eligible for adoption a stress-free and fun environment to meet and hopefully create forever families.
The South Texas Heart Gallery is a annual photo display of children eligible for adoption compiled by DFPS. Every November a new gallery is presented. The gallery is first shown at the Heart Gallery Gala hosted by the Nueces Child Welfare Foundation.
Frosty the Foster Tree is a community event where the Foundation fills Wishlist of every child in DFPS. We work with caseworkers to receive Wishlist and work with the community to fill them.
